The new 2020 Audi R8 is coming as a fully-redesigned model. The new ride is gaining a more modern cockpit which makes it one of the most favorable high-end sports cars. Some reports are also mentioning the great acceleration and handling offered by the new R8.
For 2020, the new Audi R8 is available in two trim levels. Those are V10 and V10 Plus. The base V10 trim level rides on 19-inch wheels. This model comes standard with LED headlights and taillights, LED engine-compartment lighting, and automatic high beams.
The base R8 V10 also packs front and rear parking sensors in its safety features. It also gets an auto-dimming rearview mirror, keyless entry and ignition, adaptive magnetic-ride suspension dampers, and so forth.
The R8 V10 Plus rides on optional 20-inch wheels. This higher trim level also comes with some other options such as larger carbon-ceramic brakes, variable-ratio steering, carbon-fiber exterior as well as upgraded interior features.

As for the interior, the base V10 comes standard with automatic climate control, high quality leather upholstery, a navigation system, and voice controls. The V10 model also gets Audi’s MMI infotainment system, a 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument and infotainment display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 13-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system with satellite radio and dual USB ports.
The Audi R8 V10 Plus gains more upgraded interior compared to the R8 V10. The interior features higher quality leather upholstery. It also gets upgraded MMI infotainment system. Further, it also gets the additional Performance mode for the Drive Select System.
2020 Audi R8 Engine Specs and Features
Under the hood, the new Audi R8 is powered by a 5.2 L V10 engine. In the base model, the engine is capable of producing 540 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. As for the V10 Plus, it levels up to 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.
In 2020 Audi R8, coming standard are all-wheel drive and a seven-speed automated manual transmission. Based on the automaker, the base R8 is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds; while the V10 Plus is able to make it in 3.2 seconds.
Every model of the new 2020 Audi R8 comes standard with several safety features. Those include antilock brakes, stability control, knee airbags, head curtain airbags, and side airbags. Further, also come standard are a rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors. Unfortunately, the new R8 doesn’t get adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.
